Recovery Ambassadors from North Sound, Pierce, and Spokane
Employed by CVAB (Community Voices are Born) since 2016, I am the program director for the Developing Peer Support Communities grant funded by SAMHSA. I connect with peers across Washington from my home office in San Juan County. I hold a Master’s degree in Organization Leadership and use this knowledge and the experiences of Peer Support as I facilitate WaPAC. I value Hope, Grace, and the journey of Recovery.
I am a person with lived experience who is thriving in recovery and I am passionate about inspiring leadership, empowerment, and hope! I serve as the state-wide Peer Support Liaison for Coordinated Care. My role includes supporting greater access to peer resources within the state of Washington while coordinating and implementing additional peer support training and coaching opportunities for youth, adult and parent peers.
In addition, I oversee further development and advancement of the existing peer workforce to include supervision and mentorship opportunities, and encouraging further integration of peer support specialists in our provider network and community organizations.
The People's Peer
I am the proud Owner of Jones Community Solutions, a Social Enterprise focused on Social Service's. I am a Certified Peer Counselor and Trainer as well as Crisis Prevention and Intervention Instructor.
I am a Legislative Advocate for the Community. My education consists of degrees in Economics, Business and Laws and Ethics.
The more I am able to provide quality assistance, the more passion grows.
Washington State 1st Peer-O-Award Recipient.
I currently serve as The Executive Director for Dads MOVE, a leading organization advocating for increased father involvement in families and systems. I became involved with the nonprofit world as a result of my three special needs children. As I began searching for help with my children, I met many individuals from other non-profits and parent support groups. Since then, I have developed a passion for helping other parents, particularly fathers.
After gaining the needed help and support for my own children, I went to work for several non-profits and community-based groups. I have now been working in this Director capacity since 2007.
Regional Recovery Guide
I’m proud to empower Peers our community. In previous positions I’ve worked with individuals to maintain independent housing and those seeking safety from abuse. Currently, I serve five counties in the North Sound Region of Washington as a Behavioral Health Ombudsman.
I enjoy helping individuals navigate the North Sounds publicly funded behavioral healthcare system. If an individual has any concerns, I aim to establish Peer directed solutions with those involved in their system of care.
